Clapton Park

Clapton Park is a small inner city London area in the Borough of Hackney that is bordered by the River Lea to the east, Homerton to the south and Lower Clapton to the west.

Clapton Park takes its name from the park that borders the river and acts as the recreational centre for the area. Homerton University Hospital also dominates Clapton Park and it means there is a good mix of affordable housing due to the requirements of hospital staff. Nearby Hackney is the biggest town in terms of shopping and entertainment and the regeneration of this area in recent years is beginning to have a ripple effect in Clapton.

There are a number of transport options available in Clapton Park. Clapton rail station is a short distance away and from here, you can get direct trains into Liverpool Street in just over 10 minutes. Homerton underground station and Homerton Rail station are a little further south of Clapton Park and provide more options with regards to travel into the City and central London.
