South Chingford

South Chingford is close to the North Circular Road and it is geographically south of Chingford and north of Walthamstow, in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

The area lies alongside Chingford Road and Chingford Mount Road and comprises a number of residential streets that offer plenty of varied housing opportunities. The area was once famous for the Walthamstow Greyhound Stadium but this closed down in 2008. There are a number of sports centres and parks in the surrounding area, giving it a suburban feel and Chingford Mount offers a range of shopping facilities.

South Chingford doesn’t have its own railway station but both Chingford and Highams Park stations are close by, with regular services into central London. Buses also operate locally and to other areas of east London and further into the centre.
