Mile End

Mile End is situated in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, between Stepney Green to the west and Bow to the east.

Mile End is a typical inner city London area with a high density of residential development. However, as it is also home to Queen Mary University it has a mix of residents, with East End locals mixing with medicine students. The Green Bridge is a well-known local landmark that features greenery and water features. There are a number of historical buildings in the area and a good mix of housing options, thanks to the student population, as well as University staff looking for good, local accommodation.

Transport-wise, Mile End is served by an underground station of the same name, which is on the Central, Metropolitan & City and District lines, offering plenty of choice for travel into central London. Bow Road (underground) and Bow Church (DLR) stations are also close by.
