West Norwood

In South East London, West Norwood sits within the London Borough of Lambeth, looking down on the city to its north and Croydon to its South.

Norwood Road/Knights Hill runs through north to south and is the hub of the area hosting the majority of shops, bars and restaurants. There is plenty of green space around and for historians the West Norwood Cemetery, consecrated in 1837, is classed as one of the magnificent Seven cemeteries of the Victorian era. There are a number of modern purpose built flats and spacious Victoria houses, many of which are now conversions. There are also a number of council properties and the array of housing reflects the character of the area.

West Norwood station has regular direct services to London Bridge and London Victoria via Clapham Junction. There is no underground station but when the East London line extension is completed this year Norwood Junction will join the tube network and the station is a short bus ride away.
