South Norwood

In the London Borough of Croydon, South Norwood forms the southern edge of the London Basin.

Residents are a mix of long-term locals, families and commuters and properties include pre WWII terraces and semis, small blocks of flats and converted Victorian houses. South Norwood Park is perfect for outdoor types with cricket and football pitches and tennis and basketball courts. It even hosts the Croydon Sailing Club and carp fishing on the former reservoir. If spectating is more your thing then Crystal Palace Football Ground is within walking distance.

Locally, Portland Road has plenty of independent shops, bars and restaurants. Alternatively Croydon is a short bus or train ride away and has a bustling high street and all the services one might need.

Trains run from Norwood Junction directly to London Bridge (13 minutes) and Victoria (20 minutes). There is no tube station but East London Line extensions due to be completed this year will change that. There are plenty of buses and a Tramlink station under a mile away.
