Honor Oak

Situated in the London Borough of Lewisham, Honor Oak is a quiet residential area that is between Forest Hill, Crofton Park and East Dulwich.

Honor Oak is named after an oak tree that was the location of a Royal picnic in the 17th century. An oak tree still marks the spot, although it’s not the original one. Honor Oak tends to stand in the shadows of its larger neighbours and it therefore has a sleepy, suburban feel to it. However, there is a good range of modestly priced housing in the area and transport links are more than adequate. It is principally a residential area with limited shopping facilities but there are plenty within close range.

Honor Oak Park railway station operates a direct service into London Bridge. There are about six trains per hour during the day and the journey time is 12 minutes. There are not as many bus services as in some other areas but some local services operate.
