Mottingham

Mottingham spans three boroughs – the London Borough of Bromley, the London Borough of Greenwich and the London Borough of Lewisham. It is not a particularly big area, it just happens to lie across a number of boundaries. Lee is to the west and Eltham is to the north.

Mottingham has a number of large parks surrounding it and this makes it quite a green and leafy area. Royal Blackheath, Fairy Hill and Avery Hill Park are all large open spaces that provide plenty of leisure opportunities for residents. Mottingham is not too far from the famous Eltham Palace with its wonderful grounds and there is a good stock of varied sized housing, which makes it popular with couples, as well as families.

Mottingham rail station is in zone 4 and trains run directly to London Cannon Street in approximately 25 minutes. There are roughly 4 trains per hour. Mottingham doesn’t have an underground station but it does have a good local bus service and the A20 provides easy access around south-east London.
