Catford

Catford is in the London Borough of Lewisham and is one of the major towns in southeast London. Lewisham sits to the north, Brockley to the west and Hither Green to the east.

Catford is a thriving, built-up urban centre with a shopping centre, theatre and a number of pubs and restaurants. Housing is mixed with some Edwardian and Victorian houses, as well as modern council flats and houses. Catford was famous for its greyhound stadium but this closed in 2005.

Catford has two railway stations offering services to a number of central London destinations, as well as out to Kent. There are also plenty of buses, with routes providing links into town and the surrounding areas. Despite having no underground station, Catford is well connected. Both of the stations are in zone 3.
