Colliers Wood

Colliers Wood shares the SW19 postcode with Wimbledon but doesn’t quite have the prestige of its neighbour resulting in lower property prices. Unfortunately, it is also home to the “Colliers Wood Tower” voted the ugliest building in both London and the UK in separate polls.

There is no sign of the wood the area was named for but Wandle Park is 11 acres and has a children’s play area and the River Wandle bordering one side. The nearby Merton Abbey Mills is a popular day out with tourists and locals with a bustling weekend market, children’s activities at weekends and music and art workshops.
Properties are a mixture of council blocks, Victorian terraces and 1940s semis, many of which are ripe for conversion.

Colliers Wood is on the Northern Line between South Wimbledon and Tooting Broadway and buses run to Clapham, Wimbledon and Sutton.
