New Southgate

New Southgate is a residential suburb in the London Borough of Barnet. Perhaps the most prominent building in the area is Princess Park Manor. Formally used as a mental hospital the site has been redeveloped and expanded to form a gated development set within 30 acres of parkland.

Much of New Southgate was developed in the post war era contributing to the current mix of low rise apartment blocks and Victorian terraced houses. New Southgate has its own Network Rail Station on the First Capital Connect line from where you can get to Moorgate (or Kings Cross at week-ends) in around 20 minutes.
