What type of property survey should you have?

If you are taking out a mortgage the lender will insist upon carrying out a valuation inspection. Information on Southbank & Shad Thames

Southbank and Shad Thames meander through the London Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark. Nestling up to the southern side of the river they take in much of the river frontage, stretching along to Tower Bridge, around which Shad Thames is located.

Both of these areas have undergone massive regeneration over the past few years. Southbank has become an important cultural destination and is home to many galleries and cultural spaces, including The Royal Festival Hall, The Tate Modern and The Globe Theatre. Shad Thames has seen many of its derelict wharves and warehouses transformed into ultra-modern apartment buildings with sought-after river views. Shad Thames has a quaint, village feel to it, with its cobbled streets, cafes and riverfront restaurants.

Transport options are wide ranging in Southbank and Shad Thames. To the west is Waterloo Station, which includes both overground and underground stations (Northern Line, Jubilee and Bakerloo). To the east, London Bridge provides further mainline and underground services. For a more leisurely transport option, there are boats from Bankside and London Bridge piers.
