Willesden

Willesden is located to the north-west of London between Cricklewood and Harlesden. Most of the housing stock in the area is Edwardian with many of the larger houses having been converted during the seventies and eighties.

The area has seen significant immigration from the Irish community over the years and has also been a popular location for short-staying Australians and New Zealanders. It’s moved from urban to almost upmarket in recent years, testified to by the younger and trendier pubs and restaurants around Willesden Green station, and the rising house prices across the area.

Roundwood Park is located to the south-west of Willesden. The formal Victorian Park covers an area in excess of 10 hectares and has English Heritage Grade 11 Listed Status. Many of the facilities have been renovated in recent years. The park is often used to house community events such as the annual Irish Festival.

Willesden has its own tube station, Willesden Green, located on the Jubilee Line on the border between zones 2 and 3. Travel time to Central London is about twenty minutes.
