A few tips on buying a property in Upper Holloway
Getting registered with the main local agents is a great first step but to be at the front of the queue when that dream property becomes available you need to be what the agents consider a ‘hot buyer’. Most Estate Agents will focus on the "hot" buyers first as these are the people that the negotiators within the office consider to be in the best position and the most likely to offer on a property.
To be classed as a hot buyer you need to have your finances in place, be pro-active when a new property becomes available and be decisive. If you want to be one of the first buyers that an agent thinks of when a popular property comes on the market pop into their offices when you are passing and remind them that you are still looking. Agents are more likely to remember you if they can put a face to the name.

Information on Upper HollowayUpper Holloway is a residential suburb in the London Borough of Islington. The area often gets lumped in with Archway as they are so close to each other but Upper Holloway has its own National Rail station on Holloway Road. There is a varied selection of properties in the area ranging from big old Victorian houses to council estates. Most of the larger houses were converted to flats during the 1970s and 80s.
Upper Holloway is somewhat lacking in greenery but, should you have the urge, Hampstead Heath is approximately 2 miles to the west. The closest part of The Heath contains its three bathing ponds, accessed via Millfield Lane. If you prefer to travel by underground there are tube stations at Archway, Tufnell Park (both on the Northern line) and Finsbury Park (Piccadilly & Victoria lines) any of which will take you in to the West End in around twenty minutes.
