A few tips on buying a property in Newington Green
Getting registered with the main local agents is a great first step but to be at the front of the queue when that dream property becomes available you need to be what the agents consider a ‘hot buyer’. Most Estate Agents will focus on the "hot" buyers first as these are the people that the negotiators within the office consider to be in the best position and the most likely to offer on a property.
To be classed as a hot buyer you need to have your finances in place, be pro-active when a new property becomes available and be decisive. If you want to be one of the first buyers that an agent thinks of when a popular property comes on the market pop into their offices when you are passing and remind them that you are still looking. Agents are more likely to remember you if they can put a face to the name.

Information on Newington GreenNewington Green is a residential suburb which spans the London Boroughs of Hackney and Islington. The green itself, after spending many years as a glorified traffic island, was renovated in 2005 to include more greens, a new play area and café.
Newington Green has undergone partial gentrification in recent years as the middle class overspill from Highbury and Islington has moved in. This is reflected by the increase in trendy shops, restaurants and coffee bars in the shopping area. The majority of the housing stock in the area is Victorian although as with any area that is “on the up” sites which have been left empty for years are now rapidly being developed to take advantage of rising property prices. Although there are several bus routes that pass by the green the closest Tube Station is just under half a mile away. Highbury & Islington is on the Victoria Line (zone 2) with a travelling time to central London of around 15 minutes.
