Information on South Tottenham
South Tottenham is located to the North of London between Seven Sisters and Stamford Hill. Millions of pounds of redevelopment funds are being channelled in to the area in the run up to the 2012 Olympics. Plans include the development of disused land by Tottenham Hale, including 1,200 new homes, a new primary school, health centre, hotel, offices and many retail units. Transport facilities are also to be upgraded with a major overhaul of Tottenham Hale Station and the construction of a new £2.5million pedestrian and cycle bridge over the Lea Navigation canal and Pymmes Brook.
The area is bordered to the east by Tottenham Marshes. Now part of The Lea Valley Park the marshes cover over 100 acres and are a haven for wildlife. South Tottenham has its own National Rail Station located on the High Road but if you want the London Underground Seven Sisters Station is just a short walk away from where you can catch a Victoria Line tube (zone 3) to the West End.
