Advice on renting a property in Southgate
The first step on the path to finding a suitable property to rent in Crouch End is to register your requirements with all the primary agents in the area. This should ensure that you are kept up to date with new properties coming on to the market. The rental market is fast moving with properties generally being let within a few days. To secure a rental property by a set date register your details at least a month in advance.
Try and make yourself available for viewings when new properties that suit your needs come on to the market. Unfortunately many properties on the market are a bit dated so you want to be first in the queue when something of a better standard becomes available. Information on Crouch EndCrouch End is a residential suburb in the London Borough of Haringey. The most famous landmark is the red-brick clock-tower built in 1895 at the top of Crouch End Broadway. Crouch End battles with nearby Muswell Hill for the title of most middle class part of North London and this is reflected in the make up of the high street which consists mainly of coffee shops, estate agents and bars. To the west of the area are Highgate and Queens Woods which are a fantastic setting for an afternoon stroll.
Property in the area would originally have been larger style Edwardian houses although the majority were converted in to flats during the 1980s and 90s. During the last decade the demand for accommodation in the area has seen several prominent new developments spring up on former brown field sites. The closest tube station to Crouch End is approximately a mile and a half away at Highgate (Northern Line). Much closer is Hornsey National Rail Station at the top of Tottenham Lane with trains running to Moorgate.
