Advice on choosing a solicitor for your Highgate Property
We would always recommend using a local solicitor for the conveyancing work on your property. Although large conveyancing specialists may be able to do the job slightly cheaper they will not be as accessible as your local solicitors. Things rarely run smoothly when buying or selling and the delays involved in sending documents through the post can be stressful during the days leading up to an exchange.
With conveyancing firms you will not generally have a single point of contact which again can be very frustrating if problems crop up or there are delays. It is comforting to be able to pick up the phone and speak to your own solicitor when you need reassuring on a particular matter.

Information on HighgateHighgate is located to the North of London between Hampstead and Crouch End and is spread over three London boroughs: Haringey in the north, Camden in the south and west, and Islington in the south and east. The part of Highgate commonly referred to as “The Village” consists of the area around the high street. Estate agents and coffee shops prevail so doing your weekly shop will probably mean a trip out of the area.
Highgate is surrounded by some of the most beautiful green areas in London. To the south-west is Hampstead Heath with its three bathing ponds, accessed via Millfield Lane, to the north is Highgate Woods and Queens Wood which, although primarily nature reserves, do have some leisure facilities for visitors. Highgate Underground Station is located on the Barnet branch of the Northern Line (zone 3). Travelling time to central London is about twenty minutes.
