Advice on choosing a solicitor for your Highbury Property
We would always recommend using a local solicitor for the conveyancing work on your property. Although large conveyancing specialists may be able to do the job slightly cheaper they will not be as accessible as your local solicitors. Things rarely run smoothly when buying or selling and the delays involved in sending documents through the post can be stressful during the days leading up to an exchange.
With conveyancing firms you will not generally have a single point of contact which again can be very frustrating if problems crop up or there are delays. It is comforting to be able to pick up the phone and speak to your own solicitor when you need reassuring on a particular matter.

Information on HighburyHighbury is a residential suburb in the London Borough of Islington and is probably best known nationally as the former home of Arsenal Football Club. The club relocated about half a mile down the road in Ashburnham Grove in 2006 and the site of the old stadium is being converted in to housing. As part of the stadium move many parts of the area have been and are still being re-developed.
Highbury has a wide range of properties ranging from the Georgian terraces fronting on to Highbury Fields to the affordable housing built as part of the new stadium development. Properties to the south of the area are generally the most sought after. Highbury is flanked by 3 tube stations; Arsenal Station is located next to the site of the old football stadium, Highbury and Islington to the south and Holloway Road to the west. All are located in zone 2 of the underground with average commuting times to the West End of approximately 15 minutes.
