What type of property survey should you have?
If you are taking out a mortgage the lender will insist upon carrying out a valuation inspection. Although you will bear the cost of this it is just a valuation for the lender's purposes and not a survey. The two most common types of property survey are an RICS Homebuyer Survey and Valuation, often referred to as a Homebuyer's Report and a Building Survey. The Homebuyer's Report will be suitable in most cases. The exceptions are properties that are more than 150 years old, that have been substantially altered or that have known structural problems. If any of these exceptions apply a Building Survey, previously known as a Full Structural survey, will be more appropriate.

Information on Finsbury ParkFinsbury Park is located to the North of London between Manor House and Stamford Hill and is probably most well known for its eponymous Park which is actually located just to the west of the area towards Holloway. The 112-acre park houses formal gardens, a lake and sports facilities including an athletics stadium and football facilities. For those that prefer sports of the American variety there are facilities for Softball and Baseball. In the summer the park often plays host to outdoor festivals and concerts.
Victorian properties dominate the area, be they in their original state or sub-divided in to flats. Popular roads include Brownswood Park, Gloucester Drive and Portland Rise. Finsbury Park has as large Station from where you can catch the Piccadilly or Victoria Line tube to central London or a National Rail train to Moorgate (or Kings Cross at week-ends).
