Information on Harringay

Harringay is a residential suburb in the London Borough of Haringey and spans the postcodes of N4 and N8. Even the residents get confused about the two different spellings. The area sits between two large parks; Finsbury Park to the south-west and Downhills Park to the north. The two parks are equally well equipped with sports facilities but if you just fancy an afternoon walk the formal gardens and lake in Finsbury Park provide a lovely backdrop. Those with a love of the arts should take themselves off to The Kosh where they have been creating live performance events since 1983.

Properties in Harringay are some of the most affordable in the wider area. The roads commonly referred to as “The Harringay Ladder”, stretching between Tufnell Park Station and Finsbury Park, have a good selection of Victorian terraces and are ever popular with young couples. Harringay is flanked by two tube stations, Tufnell Park and Manor House, both of which are on the Piccadilly line and have journey times to central London of approximately 30 minutes. It also has its own National Rail Station.
