Barnsbury is a residential suburb in the London Borough of Islington. Just a short walk from Kings Cross the area was famously home to former Prime Minister Tony Blair (Richmond Crescent) before he made the short trip across town to Downing Street.

Barnsbury is a mixture of beautiful Georgian town houses set around quiet squares with a few Edwardian properties thrown in. Popular parts of Barnsbury include Huntingdon Street, Barnsbury and Thornhill Squares and Hemingford Road. Barnsbury Wood, a small nature reserve, which can be accessed from Crescent Street, is home to a selection of sycamore, ash and elder trees which provide a home to a nice variety of wildlife. The nearest underground station is Highbury & Islington on the Victoria line (zone 2) from where you can travel to Oxford Circus in around 15 minutes.
