Information on Shoreditch

Shoreditch is a residential suburb in the London Borough of Hackney. Like many former primarily industrial areas of London Shoreditch has undergone considerable gentrification over the last couple of decades. Many of the former industrial buildings have been converted to offices and flats, while the clubs and pubs of Curtain Road and Old Street have become fashionable nighttime venues.  

The closest green area is Haggerston Park to the North. Bordered by Queensbridge Road, Hackney Road and Goldsmith's Row the park contains a wide range of facilities including a BMX track, children's play area, conservation area and several sports pitches. The park occasionally houses special events such as the free concert by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra presented as part of the Shoreditch Festival in 2007.

The closest underground station is Old Street which is located just under half a mile to the west. Old Street is on the Bank branch of the Northern Line, between Moorgate and Angel and is located in zone 1.
