Tucked in the corner of two main West London roads, White City is in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
Best-known for its associations with the BBC, White City is primarily a commercial area, with its borders in Shepherd’s Bush. The main focus of the area is the BBC Television Centre and BBC White City. White City is also home to the Queen’s Park Rangers football stadium. In 1908 the summer Olympics were held in a stadium in White City but this has long since been demolished. The local comprehensive secondary school has made considerable progress in recent years and has leapt up the league tables. The new Westfield Shopping Centre has also injected a much-needed boost into the surrounding area.
White City tube station is on the Central Line in zone 2.
