Information on Paddington

Paddington is a bustling central area situated in the City of Westminster. To the east is the Edgware Road while the North is bordered by the A40 and the South by Hyde Park.

The area is most famous for the high-security Paddington Green Police Station and Paddington Bear, who was created by Michael Bond. There are a number of residential streets, as well as plenty of hotels and restaurants. Many of these cater to the thousands of users of Paddington station, which has links to areas west of London. Paddington is also home to Imperial College, part of London University and the exclusive Hempel Hotel.

With Paddington Station at its heart, the area is well served for both mainline and tube services. Paddington tube is in zone 1 and it straddles the Bakerloo, District and Circle, and Hammersmith lines.
