Marble Arch is a small area in the City of Westminster that lies on the Northeast corner of Hyde Park and is bordered by Marylebone and the Edgware Road.

Marble Arch refers both to the area and the actual arch, which is a marble monument that was designed by John Nash in 1828. The area lies at the end of Oxford Street, one of the world’s greatest and most famous shopping streets. It is a busy junction with lots of traffic passing through, although the close proximity of Hyde Park makes it an attractive prospect. The shopping facilities, transport links and leisure facilities make this a highly sought after and expensive part of the capital.

The closest tube station is Marble Arch, which is on the Central Line and in zone 1. Bond Street station, which is on the Central and Jubilee Lines, is just a short walk away.
