Information on Bayswater
Bayswater lies just to the North of Hyde Park, in the City of Westminster, with the Edgware Road bordering the area to the East.
Bayswater is more of a residential area than some of its close neighbours and it is home to a large cultural mix of residents. There is a good stock of Georgian housing and many of these buildings are now hotels and boarding houses. There are also more modern blocks of flats and this helps to create the dense population in the area. Although not one of West London’s most affluent areas, the central location is extremely close to many of the city’s great attractions and parks.
Bayswater tube station is on the District and Circle lines. The area is also served by Lancaster Gate (Central Line) and Queensway (Central Line). Paddington mainline station is also close by and this provides links to the west of England.
