Information on Kensal Green
Kensal Green is a mixed area of North London in the Borough of Brent.
It’s an area increasingly popular with young professionals, partly due to the popularity of the nearby Queen’s Park and Ladbroke Grove, and the area’s excellent transport links. Both Kensal Rise and Kensal Green are terms often used to describe the same location, but some people do try and define the areas, suggesting that North of Kensal Rise station and east of Chamberlayne road is Kensal Rise while south of the station and west of Chamberlayne road is Kensal Green. In recent years Chamberlayne Road has seen the arrival of trendier establishments, including gastro pubs and furniture stores.
The area is very well served by transport. Kensal Green tube is on zone 2 on the Bakerloo line and provides travel to the West End in around twenty minutes. Kensal Rise railway station has London overground access and travel to Richmond and Stratford.
