A few tips on buying a property in Cricklewood

Getting registered with the main local agents is a great first step but to be at the front of the queue when that dream property becomes available you need to be what the agents consider a ‘hot buyer’. Most Estate Agents will focus on the "hot" buyers first as these are the people that the negotiators within the office consider to be in the best position and the most likely to offer on a property.

To be classed as a hot buyer you need to have your finances in place, be pro-active when a new property becomes available and be decisive. If you want to be one of the first buyers that an agent thinks of when a popular property comes on the market pop into their offices when you are passing and remind them that you are still looking. Agents are more likely to remember you if they can put a face to the name.

Information on Cricklewood

Cricklewood is a residential suburb of London which spans the boroughs of Barnet, Brent and Camden. Located around the busy A5 the area has always been a magnet for immigrants from the Irish in the 1950s and 60s to the Eastern Europeans today. The eclectic nature of the population is reflected in the shops along Cricklewood Lane and The Broadway where you are far more likely to find a polish grocers than a fancy coffee shop.

The area's main green spot is Gladstone Park to the west, named after the former prime minister William Gladstone the park's tree lined walkways are indicative of its Edwardian Origins. Cricklewood has its own Network Rail Station at the junction of Cricklewood Lane and Claremont Road or if you prefer the Jubilee line stations of Kilburn and Willesden Green are a short walk away.
