Muswell Hill & Fortis Green Association

The Association has just celebrated its 60th anniversary with a champagne party after the Annual General Meeting. It is the oldest residents' association in Haringey and, with 600 members, by far the largest.   It covers the Muswell Hill, Fortis Green and Alexandra Wards.

The aim of the Association, which is non political, is to protect and improve the quality of life and environment in the area. We meet several times a year for talks and discussions on any subject that affects or interests our members. We also organise a walk every year. A Newsletter is sent to our members six times a year and useful information can be found on our website: www.mhfga.1to1.org.

We are in regular contact with Haringey Council and other organisations and do influence decisions on: traffic and parking, conservation, planning issues, shop fronts, recycling, litter and graffiti, trees, flowerbeds and pocket parks, and community safety.

Our committee is represented on the Civic Trust, London Forum, Alexandra Palace Advisory Committee, the local Conservation Advisory committee and various Haringey-wide police groups.

We have a stand at the Muswell Hill Festival and attend the Muswell Hill Assembly.

We welcome new members: the larger our Association becomes, the stronger our voice.

Please visit our website (which had over 49,000 hits in 2007!) for further information.
